Good. Make them bleed from their wallet (which shouldn't be at knee height). Pants should be worn around the waist, not the ankles (unless in the bathroom).

About god damn time. I've always wanted to thump those people upside the head. Back when my son was in high school, he tried that. He got away with it for about 5 minutes, til I layed down the law. Parents who allow their youngsters to dress like that, should have their ass shot off!

Since when is "the way things should be" basis for lawmaking? What country is this again??? What if you walk around in boxers only, and no pants? You don't get a ticket for that.. you get a ticket for wearing pants a certain way that is percieved as bad. It's exactly the same as banning long hair, head scarfs, lack of head scarfs, etc.

Before you say, "it's about damn time someone did something about them darn disrespectful kids", picture yourself as that Australian Muslim leader saying that women deserve gangraping because they don't cover their hair.

It has nothing to do with "the way it should be". It has to do with exposing yourself in public. I'm sure if you walked around in just your underwear you would be ticketed. This is no different.

Tell me a state or city where you get a ticket for walking around in underwear. I'll bet that Dallas isn't one of them.

Its a trend. When most of you were back in high school i bet you wore things that your parents didnt like. I was into the sagging pants for a while (not as much as the one in that pic though) but i grew tired of it.

I just don't get it.

When you have to waddle like a penguin... how exactly are you looking "good"? What am I missing?

I was told that this whole wearing the pants low started in prison. That the new 'girlfriend' was made to wear them low so that when the top dog in prison wanted him, it was easy access. And that ppl who came out of prison wore them like that in the street to send a message that they survived prison so were tough.

keep telling yourself that
If your kid wanted to wear his pants low he just did so when you wouldn't see, and laughed at you behind your back.
How exactly did you "lay down the law ?"
You really felt the need to control your kid's life so much as to regulate his dress? When the boy was in high school? Drugs, drinking, and sex fine, but god forbid you show some of your boxers!

This fine wont change a thing

Kids who have no fear or respect for their parents will, indeed, behave as such.
