Sure - and that's why they call men's section where you find the 46" jeans "Big and Tall" - not "Fat and Tall". It wouldn't have anything to do with flattering the fatties, now would it? :)

Well, technically, Fat are cells, the more fat cells, the bigger you are. Calling somebody fat is calling them a cell. Big is a more accurate adjective. And Fat DOES make you big, while fat does NOT make you "petite"

Now if you want to make a clothing department called Obese & Tall, I won't complain.
I'll probably shop there.

You changed your post!
Not that theres anything wrong with that.
I was not in a petite store.
I was at Sears, looking for some special screwdrivers. I want some short philips and flatheads but NOT the wide stubby ones and not the precision drivers either. Normal size but with relatively short shafts and handles.
Wait a second, what the hell do you care?

Anyway, I was there. It was early in the morning, I didnt find what I wanted and I ended up getting a shirt as I walked out. Only one person in sales in the clothing section so I had to go to the Ladies checkout. Thats when I met Atilla and her Huns. The big meanie herself and her two pals who really didnt contribute but they sure as heck didnt stop her either. They just stood there sort of awed and disgusted (like me).
I went back to hardware and the guy must have been on break or something.
Dawdled back over to the register and the poor girl was still getting harassed. Eventually Atilla got tired and left. I bought my shirt, wished the victim a nice day and hauled ass out of there.
Also, I tend to date tiny girls more often than not, so it is possible on any given day I could have been buying something cute for my sweetie. But usually I prefer to stop at the local Love Nest when I want to get a cute gift. The ladies there are real nice and the customers always have better manners.

Oh, by the way, the farm girl outfit from Spencers Gifts Online looks really good with just about anything from sockdreams.com.
;)

when i used to work in a grocery store and I told people there was no more of a product...i would know i ordered the stuff....and they wouldnt believe me and would tell me to check in the back anyways...

i'd go into the'magical warehouse' hang out for a while shoot the breeze with whoever was back there, sometimes climb into the catwalk look around the store through the one way mirrors or maybe use the restroom or take a break and then come back out and if they were still there id let them know that unfortunately there was no more nada zilch...

To continue:
You are not kewl, badd or tuff simply because you can spend 20 minutes degrading a poor woman whose only sin is she doesnt use Ben & Jerry to solve all her problems.
That woman makes minimum wage or slightly above and has to spend all day watching piggies try on clothes when they should be directing them to the tent department.

Furthermore:
Believe it or not, she also sees more than just one customer a day. Some of them are not able to piss away 20 minutes for each and every store they visit. The salesgirl also has a sworn duty to provide prompt and swift service to every customer that walks through the doors. It is not her sworn duty to "check the back" for every little fantastic whim your damaged brain can come up with. If it doesnt fit your fat ass in yellow, it certainly wont fit in green, blue or red.

END RANT.

I didn't know you were a chick...

The dictionary and wikipedia can define it however they want. Wreckem is correct. The clothing industry has petite as clothing proportionally designed for a woman 5'4" and under. Slender is not a factor.

allisolm and Wreckem are absolutely correct.

Shorty, you've been owned and your entire weak rant not only shows how shallow you are, but ignorant as well.

Instead of merely pointing out that the girl was a pain in the ass or a bitch, you felt the need to pick on her for her size and incorrectly assume you knew what "Petite" meant when it comes to women's clothing sizes. So it turns out YOU'RE the dumbass, not her. Oh! The Irony!!!

Not only that, but seeing as you felt so strongly about it, why didn't you tell her to STFU instead of slinking away and posting a weak ignorant rant on the internet. Too much of a pussy to degrade people in person? Did the short chubby woman scare you too much?

actually... i was in banana republic looking in their petite section (i'm SHORT and small, allright?) and they have a label on their clothing that states "these clothes are designed for women 5'4" and shorter, without regards to other sizes." they do have petite sized pants for someone who is a size 16. their pants are cut shorter and their shirts are cut shorter, actually hitting my waist instead of somewhere over my behind.

although someone that's 5'3" and 200 lbs would have a hard time fitting into banana's petite tops, even at XL. their pants however, maybe. same goes for ann taylor, and other stores... sears not included. i don't buy clothes there...

No, the term is voluptuous, or curvy... ;)

no no no

those terms come before out right fat and obese.

theres natural fat.... ie fat thats supposed to be there and then theres "Maccy D's" fat which is the horrible, disfigured looking, cellulitey fat (you know the stuff that dimples the skin) you get from eating too much crap and not doing any exercise.

natural fat however looks perfectly fine because it looks like its supposed to be there. you dont make yourself voluptuous or curvy, you're born like that, its then up to u to keep things in check.

For those of you wondering "WTF?":
I have managed to avoid shopping malls for the past one year. If today was any indication of American courtesy, I shall be avoiding them for at least another.

I refer you to my post some months ago.

Actually, I should have told her that. But the chick was going crazy and I didnt want her to sit on me.

And it was in my most recent home of Oregon. All parties involved were white.

I thought leaving the Peoples Republic would get me away from all the ignorant, selfish, mean, blonde bitches. But it has only cut down on the frequency of their encounters. And malls tend to breed such people wherever they are built.

Here it is:

pe·tite (p?-tet') Pronunciation Key
adj. Small, slender, and trim. Used of a girl or woman. See Synonyms at small.

n. A clothing size for short slender women.

[French, feminine of petit; see petit.]

Does your type come in feminine so I can finally get married ? :D
