PTO question: does your employer count holidays against yours?

If you get paid for PTO if you leave the company, then this actually works out in your benefit.

Plus a bunch of Holidays, etc.... Columbus day is soon.

PTO = paid time off. "Vacation" time is a dead word and no longer used in many organizations.

No, that sounds really odd.

Vacation time is not dead, but I suppose it might be for companies that operate primarily in the United States.
We don't have PTO where I work; I get 15 days vacation per year plus 3 personal holidays to use at my discretion.
Normal holidays are not counted in there, and sick time is essentially free.
