So people call this stuff music, huh?

:)

I listen to good stuff as much as the next guy in ATOT (classic rock, metal, oldies, etc).

I feel sorry for those who can't enjoy a mindless pop music here and there- too busy foaming at the mouth.

Don't care much for the song, but the video was amusing and the outtakes were pretty good.

So he is not singing about killing American soldiers and their families anymore?

Context.

This was at the height of Bush era and Iraq war where the whole world hated USA.

Also this was around the time American GIs ran over and killed two Korean girls on Korean soil. Instead of being tried in the Korean court, the US military swooped them up and said they'll deal with them. The GIs got away with a slap on the wrist- infuriating.

Put aside the politics, anyone would be pissed if foreigners killed American girls and got away.

Meh. Screw all the over-analyzing going on. It was fun to watch and had a catchy tune. That's the end of it.

Another awesome video. He really tells love stories like no one else.
Should get together with his video producer and do a musical style interpretation of Romeo and Juliet. It can only be better than the last version.
Bonus points if he uses the Korea-conflict as back drop.

The girl is Ga In from the KPop group Brown Eyed Girls.

The song is kind of catchy, the video is just meh for me.

I have to give PSY a whole lot of credit - he didn't let the pressure of the biggest YouTube video of all time get to him, at all.

Song is alright - like a lot of Korean pop songs, I have no idea what he's saying, but I did laugh out loud a few times.

By the way, it sounds like he's shouting out West Side, not wet PSY. Either way, it's ridiculous.

Can't ever live up to GG style, but is catchy and funny in its own right.

I think its ok. I actually like the song better than the music video....

Elevator + Fart grenade = lulz...

Yep, I agree. Music snobs are annoying.

It's usually oriental guys that like unicorns and ponies. I'm half Korean but I guess I never got in touch with my kpop side.

There's a lot of foreign "otaku". The ones that love anime and everything Japan. The ones that attend those "insertname-CON" conventions and wear wolf shirts.

I have no idea why people feel the need to hate on the guy. He wrote a catchy song. It went ridiculously popular, got overexposed as expected, whatever.. You expected him to never write another song after that? It is what it is: Not groundbreaking, sort of catchy again, a somewhat amusing video, life goes on.

This. He didn't even mean it in the first place. He's just doing what he used to be doing all along. I'm sure he enjoyed the exposure and fame that he got from Gangnam Style, but I don't think he really needed it. The Korean/Asian market is what he should continue to focus on.
