During New Years Eve I was on the Bangkok River drinking and jamming to PSY. Every boat that passed us had Gangnam blasting from their speakers. Thai people love Kpop.

Bangkok was an awesome place for New Years Eve. =)

his new song sucks, but seriously what carried Gangnam Style was the music video and shouting GANGNAM STYLE or SEXY LADY

don't think his new song was those prior elements

not sure what it is, but it doesn't have quite the same appeal as gangnam style or right now. those are really his only other songs i've heard though. not to say that it's a bad song. there are plenty of bands whose music i like for the most part, but have a few individual songs i don't care for.

looks like he had plenty of fun making this music video, haha.

It doesn't have the mega catchy sing-along liners of 'Hey sexxxy lady!' and 'oppan gangnam style'.

I heard the music yesterday and I was sorely disappointed. This morning I heard it again with the proper video. It's much better.

Those non-Koreans must be like 'WTF' at Psy eating that huge uncut snake-like rice cakes. LOL.

Watch it two more times. Fvck, it's got me hooked. And I was skeptical as fvck.

So much ignorance. He's an established artist that goes back to my college days more than a decade ago.

Gangnam Style was his 6th studio album. He's had massive hits previously (which I think are better). Gangnam Style just happened to be one of them which didn't give a crap about western audience. It went viral by itself.

You don't have to like the song, just get your facts straight. He's not an one-hit wonder shtick and will continue to be the idol of Korea whether this song becomes an international hit or not, giving zero fvcks.

When people call him a "one hit wonder" they mean it in western world. We don't care if he's been popular in Korea for so long.
He has one hit, and I think it's going to stay that way.
This video is damn near interchangeable with GS, same goofy "costars" and dances, with some pranks thrown in for a laugh.

I have no idea why people feel the need to hate on the guy. He wrote a catchy song. It went ridiculously popular, got overexposed as expected, whatever.. You expected him to never write another song after that? It is what it is: Not groundbreaking, sort of catchy again, a somewhat amusing video, life goes on.

You can be a "one hit wonder" in any particular country. Makes no difference how popular you are in some other. He had 1 hit song in the U.S.
He probably has 0 hits in Canada or someplace like that...would that be a "no hit wonder?"
