Just purchased a PSP from the local wal-mart with NFS: Rivals and the system and game rocks. Went ahead and purchased a larger mem card (512mb) as the 32 is just too small. There are already convertors for video files, and the media playback is excellent. Now they just need to release a firmware update to allow for net surfing and such. With this and an RCA Lyra....I think I have protable media locked down.

Any defects?

Mine had 26 dead pixels :(

Good thing I checked it right there in the store, they gave me an instant refund

agree. I just squeezed 3 MTV videos (each around 40MB originally) into the 32MB card using PSP Video 9. 300k streaming-like quality. now just looking for a deal on a gig of memory stick.

Use the AC adapter that's included w/ the PSP?

No battery that comes with it, comes fully charged, atleast mine two did,

also I got one without any dead pixels, but UMD drive makes a lot of noise, other than that I love it, I got Ape Escape with it!

Fully charged? That's weird. I thought they drain the rechargeable batteries dry at the factory. Meh.

i think it is partially charged. I know for NiMH batteries it is best to store them partially charged.

I would love to have one of these, too bad for so many bad stories. This is why I never worry about being the first to get new hardware.
