Most of them should be fairly small. LittleBigPlanet and inFamous should be the largest since they were originally retail games. I don't know how large, but probably several GBs each minimum. The others will be more like XBLA downloads and probably a GB or less. You can likely Google around and find out.

There's no expiration on the games themselves, but when they are made available they will only be free for 30 days. So you'll need to download both sometime within that time frame.

Thanks for the info. I'm not even able to log into the store, it's down for maintenance. Oh well, I'll try again later. It sucks, I don't have a lot of time to keep screwing around with my PS3 anymore, I might just sell it. I spend more time downloading updates than I do playing it.

Heh, I just noticed that the 2 posts before mine were complaining about the same thing.

The PSN Store hasn't been put back online yet, so you'll need to wait until they announce it's back up. Though you may want to wait a couple of days after that as everyone will be trying to download their free games.

Dead Nation & Wipeout HD + Fury. I already have inFAMOUS. LittleBigPlanet didn't do it for me. Super Stardust HD looks great, but no thanks.

I don't have a PSP, but I'll take ModNation Racers & Pursuit Force. LittleBigPlanet - no thank you. And I did buy Killzone Liberation when I did have a PSP.

I am hoping the PSP2 will have b/c with PSP1 titles. Or, I'll just snag a PSPGo when they price it at $99. I haven't played any of the Metal Gear games either.

I already knew about all that, but a few guys doesn't equal "sicking a bunch of lawyers on everyone who pirates their games".

There are 23 million ps3 consoles out there and Sony banned everyone who pirated a game from their network. I think that's more then just a few guys pissed off.

Only affects the Playstation.com web page used for resetting passwords.

But it effects all PSN users as it allowed the hackers to change anyones PSN password as long as they knew their email and DOB, which I think was included in the data stolen.

Change their PW, log in, change their email and other info. Now how does the real owner get it back? I would hope the store, when back up, has wiped all stored CC data...

The Japanese government did the right thing demanding Sony show them proof the security issues were fixed. Obviously they aren't.

Corportations are going to have to be far more careful with the data they collect. If anything, this massive breach is a wakeup call. Any device that's connected to the Internet is vulnerable, and always will be. Hackers are getting more sophisticated. Gone are the days of double swiping and ATM phishing. Now you can steal people's life savings without ever leaving the comfort of your home.

This is why cash is still king. I'm considering getting a prepaid credit card for online purchases. That way if the card number gets stolen, you're only out what's on the card. Only top it up with what you need. They can't have a super fun time maxing out your Visa's $1000+ limit. For everything else, cash when possible. Just keep the credit for large ticket items and holds for hotels and car rentals.

And people wonder why interest rates are ridiculously high on credit cards.

I don't know about that, I've been getting notices of banks losing my info for years. Many of my cards have been leaked in large server breaches yet nothing has changed, other than their increased willingness to cancel a fraudulent charge.

You can view your credit card details without the store being up, and no, they weren't wiped out. They are, however, mostly covered up, with only the last 4 digits being visible. I suppose if there was some way of getting that bit of info unshielded, so it's visible, then someone might have their card data stolen by someone accessing their account.

I'd hope that its not possible though, or else why bother shielding that info in the first place?

I can't log in. The bad thing is that I could use Netflix during the last outage, but can't now.

Sony needs to get its stuff together.

Must be something on your end. Everyone I know can log-in just fine as can I.

I have to reset my password and I get:
-
Site Maintenance Notice

The server is currently down for maintenance.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Please try again later.

I was having problems even 48 hours after I downloading the patch and trying to login. Everyone else got their emails quickly. I was even telling a buddy that the service was back up and he got his email within 20 minutes. At about the 50 hour mark, I got 4 emails around 4:30am and then a couple more the next day. I think some of us get stuck in the email queue and catch the login servers that are down.

May 24th will be the "go-live" date.

And, the free games will be available a few days later for 30 days.
