You really had to try it over a hundred times before you realized it wasn't working? I assume from that, and the fact that you were compelled to plead for people to stop posting that it works, that you find yourself incapable of not trying it again every time you read a post saying it works.

It really does work....... try hitting the back button instead of trying to connect (that should keep you busy for the next week anyway). :whiste:

That wasn't one hundred in one sitting. That was over handful of occasions after reading from people that it works for them. I just didn't want to say it didn't work just for them to tell me "did you try it 10 times because that's what it took for me". I'm was just commenting that every time someone says they can't get it work, the response always seems to be "you just didn't click through enough" or "you just didn't hit back at the right time". I've tried all these things and no success. You jest with me for continuing attempts to get netflix running, yet it didn't take 100 tries to figure out PSN was down. Let's try to focus on the cause and not the symptoms. My problems with netflix are just derivative of a larger problem. You don't have to insult me.

i was able to download and install software update 3.6.1, but can't sign in yet. still says its down for maintenance.

First Sony left themselves wide open, then they sicked a bunch of lawyers on everyone who pirated their games. The occasional lapse in judgement or security is understandable, but this was colossal stupidity by people out of touch with reality. The executives might as well have gone to the zoo and climbed into the lion's cage.

in North America it took 2 hours from it was announced on twitter that they were starting to restore PSN services to the first servers came online.

in Europe it's now been 6 hours and still nothing...

I'll probably go with an Xbox next time.

Edit: UK, Ireland and Middle East is up. about fucking time, also why the Middle East before Europe?

I got mine within 2 minutes but I did it fairly early in the day, I assume there's a lot more activity now.
