Some of you still miss the point. There is a difference between being respectful of ANY law enforcement and being a pushover panzy douchebag.

stfu seriously...some of us prefer to drive carefully and follow the speed limit.

Ah, another who cannot read? That is perfectly fine if you'd like to admire the sheriff's car from 2 car lengths back for 15 miles.

Do it in the other 3 lanes like all the other lemmings.

You never mentioned that you were only complaining about one lane.

Im bitching about all lanes, I just find it acceptable to be the sheriff's wing man in the other lanes.

Retarded pieces of sh!t, I hate other drivers. Probably illegals or something, worried that if they do get pulled over, it isn't just a ticket. :|

BS...I've seen cops pull people over for 5mph over the limit because they thought they were being reasonable even though the cop was right behind them. If a cop is behind or beside me, I'm not doing .00001 mph over the speed limit. Whats he going to do, pull me over for not breaking the law?

Again, your merging all law enforcement together. In the real world, this is not the case.

You must be one of these retards I speak of. Your comprehension, or lack there of, gives you away. Im not "cool" for going the speed limit, infact you people should all get pulled over for going under the speed limit and impeding traffic.

Your OP seemed to refer to drives going the speed limit and refusing to speed in order to pass a cop, unless you are referring to a scenario on a 70mph highway. That's pretty bad when you have trouble comprehending your own post.

No, im refering to drivers going under the speed limit. Why would I be upset at people already speeding not speeding enough? That doesn't make any sense.

Kekekeke, I got pulled over for doing 21 over and GET THIS, I didn't get reckless. I think in FL doing 30+ is a felony though. BTW, he was a state trooper, not a sheriff.

One morning on I-75 I noticed everyone driving SLOW AS FVCK around a sheriff that must've been from 6 or 7 counties away as I had never heard of a Washington County in FL, ever. I passed him doing 15+, he didn't care.

It all depends. Here in CA, the cop will write an estimated speed, and then the radar speed. I've seen instances where the cop switches the 2 to help out the driver.

It entirely depends on the officer on the road. the one certain thing is he can't pull you over for driving 65. Anything over and you're legally fair game. I'd rather not put my wallet at risk but if you feel so strongly about your theory, by all means, pass the cops. Good luck.

WTF? I don't know where you pulled this "theory" of "mine" out from. No where did I say anything about being ticket proof. Reading comprehension FTL.

Maybe that driver was preventing you from doing something even more stupid. You should thank him.

While I've had that happen before when CHP was involved, this was not the case.

That's not always the case. I have witness highway patrol cars would do the speed limit (65), and when someone is about to pass them, flash their lights to warn the driver to slow back down. And have seen one person pull over for failing to do so.

ya, I see that before too... I would hate to be the one to be made an example of.

A sheriff isn't going to do anything of the sort on the freeway.

One can never be sure what a local cop will do.
In CA, in the unincorporated areas, Sherriff's deputies may be on an inter-departmental enforcement assistance patrol, say for instance, to patrol for specific infractions, such as speeding, DUI, etc.
In incorporated areas, if a local police officer is observing you, and follows you onto the freeway, you may still be pulled over for infractions observed while on the freeway.
And you can forget your arguing with me about this, my step dad is retired CHP, and we have had this discussion many many years ago.

AS George H. Bush/Dana Carvey would say, " wouldn't do it, wouldn't be prudent".

But you are free to believe whatever BS you want.

Some of you swear I would just keep on driving if a sheriff or local PD flipped his lights on while we were on the freeway. Or that I would somehow not have to pay the ticket.

I'm not sure if you meant speeding is reckless. I don't think it is. If you're not paying attention and driving, I think that's reckless.

I do average 80 on the freeway. But then everyone in Socal seems to be in such a rush.

Speeding can be reckless, but it depends on the situation. In CA, doing 20mph or more over the speed limit is considered an automatic reckless driving aka you're fvcked.

CHP =! sheriff or local PD

QFT

You are out of the local police's jurisdiction unless you're driving recklessly (20 over the speed limit).
