Honestly, it doesn't even matter. The Republicans can call it a sham investigation and it still wouldn't change the facts: the president abused his power to get a foreign power to meddle in our election and then obstructed Congress when they tried to investigate him.

Ironically, it doesn't even matter what the testimony from witnesses says because trump himself admitted to his wrong doing and the obstruction is obvious as well.
 
Just a pipe dream but what if Hunter Biden called the Dems and volunteered to testify concerning Barisma only and the Dems offered Hunter for Mick Mulvaney.

Think Republicans would blink or just move the goalposts?

I honestly think that Ukraine “announcing” an investigation was intended to give Barr enough cover to launch a DOJ investigation into the Bidens. Barr acting alone would’ve been seen as nakedly partisan and he’d likely be impeached, hence why Ukraine needed to toss up Biden like an alley-oop.

Given Barr's partisan showing so far, I'm pretty sure no Republican would blink if he started an investigation into Biden.

The fact that no investigation has been launched or that they needed the announcement from a foreign country in order to justify an investigation goes to show its a bull shit talking point.

We all knew that, I just wanted to get confirmation.
 
Does anyone have any evidence that there was any active concern for Hunter or Burisma to have an investigation reopened by Shokin at the time Biden took action to help oust him? After all, he's the prosecutor who let the investigation into Burisma he inherited die and was widely criticized by the international community for using his position to protect corrupt actors from investigation.

Projection is pretty central to the conservative movement today. They think Democrats would unfairly impeach Trump because he was of the wrong political party because that's what they would do if given the chance. They always assumed Obama was abusing his powers to target conservatives because that's what they would do (and they proved it with Trump).

They don't seem to understand or care that not everyone is as immoral as they are.
