I believe they refer to Volker, Sondland and Perry.

Also, I believe Giuliani has been subpoenaed for other information and has declared he won't obey any. He's just as scared as Trump is.

How in the fking world Rudy as a private citizen and lawyer can just declare he won't obey a subpoena? Should he be in jail by now?

God Anita Fiona Hill sure kicked the legs out of idea Ukraine had anything to do with interfering with the 2016 election. More importantly, is that she laid blame to where this all belongs to Russian misinformation quite eloquently.
Freudian slip there 🙂

It’s kind of amazing when career officials need to ask our elected representatives to stop purposefully spreading Russian propaganda that they know to be false.

The Republican Party is a cancer.

So long as Bob Barr is the attorney general you can rest assured that no executive branch officials need to worry about arrest for contempt of Congress.

It comes back to the economy every time in these conversations

The thing is, no matter what Trump keeps saying, the economy does not feel good to most people right now. Sure unemployment might be down, but so is pay and benefits. The stock market might be doing well, but cost of living has risen much faster than income for a long while now. It does not feel like a good economy to most of the middle class.

Pretty much this. And going through the courts would take too long. It's literally the perfect conditions for one branch to defy the other. Disgusting really.

Tune in to the Three Stooges (Tucker, Hannity & Laura) tonight on Fox for your answer.
Curiously, watching Fox while testimony (can't remember if it was a committee member) about how Ambassador Yovanovitch was being attacked. Specifically mentioning commentators on TV. Crickets in the chevron.

It kills me to see party over country
This is the sad part to me. Diversity and competition breeds success, and right now we've got a real pile of pathetic with the Republican field. They've abandoned any notion of actually participating in this government, choosing only to protect themselves from the bed they've made.

I'm surprised Trump dissed Fox News by asking that Zelinsky give his announcement on CNN which he considers "fake news" instead of Fox which more mouth-breathers watch. Is he implying CNN is more credible?

Sorry, this does get a little confusing at times -
Is this inquiry what happens just before the House vote on impeachment, or is this an intermediate step to determine if the House will hold impeachment hearings?
I can't see how the impeachment hearings can be completed without the subpoenas being honored or dismissed. Will we eventually get to a pause until the SCOTUS ruling on subpoenas?

These are hearings about whether to introduce and vote on articles of impeachment. So, basically this is just before the House votes on impeachment.

As far as a pause goes I don't think anyone has an idea. I get the sense Democrats want to move forward relatively quickly so in the end they may just choose to add an article of impeachment for obstruction of justice instead of trying to get the courts to rule on subpoenas.

With testimony from the last 2 or 3 witnesses, can we all agree that the Ukraine did indeed know that they were having their chain pulled?
I think they knew after the fact/now. I suspect Zelinsky had made a very poor choice by even entertaining this quid pro quo (especially considering he ran his campaign on ending corruption). I suspect he won't ever live that decision down from a political standpoint.

With these words I pardon Zelinsky.
That and I wish Europe would man up with boots on the ground.

Common them I'm hearing so many witnesses came to America because they looked up to our values and the opportunities. Now this country is going to shit and we are hear to speak out.

I believe Trump's current plan, since he was denied his wall, is to have his deplorables behave so badly that no one in the world will want to come to America anymore.

Again, the truth/reality doesn't matter to these people. "I didn't have a job under Obama and I now have a job under Trump". "My 401k is doing great under Trump, why do I want to take a chance on changing things up". These people live in the here and the now, and they will vote based on the here and the now. Barring something major happening to the economy. A real possibility is that Trump gets impeached, is not removed by the Senate and is re-elected in 2020.

And right on cue, the Trump campaign responds.
