PSA: Fvcking cook the pasta in salty water.

It annoys the hell out of me that people and restaurants just can't understand that pasta is SUPPOSED to be cooked in salty water.

I bitch and moan everytime at the restaurant and I just get a blank stare back meaning '...... uuuuuumm.... salty water?...😕 '

Salt water = higher boiling point = faster cooking. Why he cares, I'll never know.

I can't ever taste the diff between the two? I thought they used salt so it just boils faster?

that ive heard, but dont do. the difference is negligent, IMO, and i can allow myself time to do other tasks while waiting on the boil.

*smacks forehead*

For the taste.
Ask any italian (for example) or even european dude.....

I guess it's people fear of salt here..... high blood pressure blah blah blah.... yeah right. It's not the small amount of salt in the pasta that's causing that, it's the salt in the normal crap food causing that.

Just ask me (American). There's a big difference in flavor if you put the right amount of salt into the water.

Sprinkle salt after cooking is not even close to the same thing.
