I knew these places sold information on occasion and expected a few calls, but this place sells it to telemarketing scams, I.E not even useful. How do I know it is DB doing this? Google search the phone numbers calling me, that is how. Lots of sites provide detailed info on how they started receiving the calls, and about 80% were due to just recently registering with DB.

Repeatedly get calls about "You've been entered to win 1 million dollars!" etc, and not even related to weddings, as David's Bridal claims it will only sell to companies that seem to have a related interest to their customer base.

DB's policy:

Third Parties: David's Bridal may also choose to sell, trade or rent your personally identifiable information to third parties providing offers that we believe would be attractive to our customers. If you wish to opt out of these offers, please send an email to remove@davidsbridal.net. Please note that we are not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of these third parties.

Load of crap. We are calling people about this and hope it has some affect but I doubt it will.

Best idea? Don't give them your info.

Yep...my wife registered there before we got married and she got all kinds of calls from people trying to sell her stuff.

Second note:

If your fiance goes to a bridal expo, don't give out your real phone number, or give them an email address that you don't care about.

Or put a date of three months after the date of the expo, so they stop calling. It was NONSTOP for a few months. I still get emails from photographers.

Ha! DB sold it, guess who's responsible. That's like saying DB is not responsible for the thousnads of credit cards that were taken from a laptop, and sold ont he black market. After all, DB didn't sell them.

Write this on a brick, and toss it though their window.

BY ACCEPTING THIS BRICK THROUGH YOUR WINDOW, YOU ACCEPT IT AS IS AND AGREE TO MY DISCLAIMER OF ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS WELL AS DISCLAIMERS OF ALL LIABILITY, DIRECT, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL, THAT MAY ARISE FROM THE INSTALLATION OF THIS BRICK INTO YOUR BUILDING.

How is the chance to win a million dollars NOT attractive to you?!?!?!

Sign up for the DO NOT CALL LIST. Then you won't get any telemarketer phone calls.

Some people forget that it only last 5 years and they've fallen off of it by now. Re-register your number and they will quit calling.

No longer only 5 years. Now indefinite. See top of site
