I knew these places sold information on occasion and expected a few calls, but this place sells it to telemarketing scams, I.E not even useful. How do I know it is DB doing this? Google search the phone numbers calling me, that is how. Lots of sites provide detailed info on how they started receiving the calls, and about 80% were due to just recently registering with DB.
Repeatedly get calls about "You've been entered to win 1 million dollars!" etc, and not even related to weddings, as David's Bridal claims it will only sell to companies that seem to have a related interest to their customer base.
DB's policy:
Third Parties: David's Bridal may also choose to sell, trade or rent your personally identifiable information to third parties providing offers that we believe would be attractive to our customers. If you wish to opt out of these offers, please send an email to remove@davidsbridal.net. Please note that we are not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of these third parties.
Load of crap. We are calling people about this and hope it has some affect but I doubt it will.
Best idea? Don't give them your info.
