As a rule, when I'm refused access to the chain of command, when they tell me "I'm as high up the ladder as you can go." My response is generally, along the lines of "Are you sure? There's really no one else I can talk to before I contact Channel 5? I'll be sure to mention your name prominently."While you likely don’t have the past due problem. You do have the problem of not having another option. I’d credit for one months overage and that’s it. You know how to track you know what to do. There wouldn’t be an option present to escalate the call further. While executives will say in public they like speaking with their customers in the real world they hate it and appreciate someone saying (to the right customer) nope this is the top tier offer and it will not be escalated further.
Usually, I get put on hold for about four minutes, and then, someone higher up the food chain picks up the line to resolve my issue.
The bigger the company, the less they like "bad press".
