PSA: Chase will kill your debit card if you buy an iPad.

I've bought tons of shit with my debit card ranging from cheap $5 items to over $3k and never had an issue.

I bought an iPad and all of a sudden Chase decides to put a fraud alert on my debit card. Fuck Chase, I guess they think that minorities can't afford iPads.

Can you imagine how poor I looked trying to buy lunch with my debit card in a place I go to every other day, and get denied? (They let me eat for free though!)

Minorites should never use Chase. Racist ass bank.

I'm beginning to think that the only racist people left on the planet are you and Classy.

I'm Indian and had no problem using my Chase debit to buy an iPad in store.

Perhaps the Chase/Apple people involved are users from AT and recognized his name and said to themselves, "Oh no, it's that douchebag, troll, wannabe-black-man from AT... let's flag him".

I only speak English. My parents are from south India (Kerala), and while they do know Hindi as well as Malayalam, I speak and know only English

Do banks check signatures? Apple uses this stupid modified iPod touch that they make you sign with your finger. I clumsily signed it and said whatever. Could that have set it off?

You do realize that they disable your card based on your historical purchase profile, correct? My guess is that they're not used to you dropping $800 (or whatever) at the apple store. Or you hit some kind of spending threshold that you've never (or only rarely) hit before. Or that apple store has a history of fraudulent transactions. Or someone with a card number similar to yours called their card in stolen and somebody fat-fingered the number when typing it in. Or it was racism. Yeah, that's it, racism.

lol, I just found it weird it would be an Apple purchase. I buy computer equipment all the time, and use my card daily. I guess Apple is a huge target for thieves.
