PSA: Amazon has the worst run forums on the internet

I had no idea they had forums either. They must have never advertised them, never provided a link to them on their website, nor has anyone that I have come across online or offline ever mentioned them.

I'm guessing that the OP just got banned from a forum that most of us didn't know existed.... boo hoo

I bet I'm the only one who didn't know they had forums.

I can see the benefit of discussing pricing / deals and products though.

Amazon banned me as a seller back in 2010 because I sold a textbook and the buyer filed a complaint saying it never arrived. I refunded their purchase but got a permanent ban regardless. A week or so after that, the book came back to me marked as not deliverable. I took a picture showing that I wrote the name and address down perfectly to what the buyer listed. They refused to do anything. Bye bye Amazon.

Sounds like you ran into the same quality customer service. It's funny how it's great usually and so terrible in other situations.

More and more I use Amazon to do product research and then go out to a B&M store to buy the product. I think I've placed one order since I dropped Prime a year ago.

They're seriously sleazy. You send them a note saying, why should posting in a social forum - which they already did a ban for no good reason - prevent you from posting *product reviews* or comments to product reviews, and they just say, too bad, and they will not discuss it any further. Worst customer service around. Boycott worthy. And it's permanent.
