So what's able to be done with it thus far? Any homebrew (media center!?!??) stuff in the works? play backups? off disk? off HDD?

The only homebrew I know of so far is an FTP server which is quite unstable. An open source PS3 toolchain just got released to get people working on legal homebrew. There is also a Backup Manager which I heard works but have not been able to confirm on the TI-84 exploit yet.
