i'm really on the fence of selling my PS3. it's like $500 just sitting there and not being used... i got SF4 for it, but that's coming out to PC very soon too

Same here, its a great media center and gaming machine but I dont use it enough. Mostly I just like it for streaming movies so i dont have to bother with discs or flash drives. Only game I really play is NBA 2K9. I agree on the PS2 though, might as well just keep it as a dvd player.

i got my GF a laptop that has an HDMI plug that goes straight into the tv w/o hassle when we wanna watch a movie. not to mention at home my PC is hooked straight up to the TV as well to stream movies. there really is no use for it. and theres no video game out i really want to play for ps3 either. i got MGS4 still sealed in the box, it looks way too complicated for me and i'd have no patience for it either lol.

:Q

MGS4 is one of the best video games ever made IMO!

I've been hooking my friends and family up with PS2 Network Adapters so that they can revivie their broken fat PS2s with a HDD and a memory card (loaded with FMCB and HDLoader, of course). I never owned a PS2 prior to this $20 broken one (fatty can't read discs) but I have an extensive library for my PS3 and I'd rather not wear out its BD drive.

It's worked great so far, though I find it strange that the original Ratchet and Clank isn't HDL-compatible despite it's age. Wouldn't developers have analyzed that and tried to make other games similarly incompatible? Either that or wouldn't hackers have analyzed it and made it and similar games work either through patching of "fixing" HDL?

FWIW, I don't pirate and I use HDL purely as a way to preserve the collection and play through faster (HUGE backlog, having never owned a PS2 prior). I install with WinHIIP because the DVD drives are always broken, though I wish there were an app that could install to the drive from an external mass storage device (or optical drive?) because it's a pain to drag my 8GB netbook w/ power cord, external HDD, IDE USB adapter, AC-to-12vDC power cord, external DVD drive, iPhone with tethering cable (iPhone OS 3.0b5 with unofficial IPCC loaded to enable tethering), etc to get my neice and friends set up (most don't have PCs or Internet connections).

Well, no childrens hospitals near by. The games are possibly to mature for kids too.
I did find a site that takes donations for soldiers in Iraq. I emailed them to see if they wanted used systems/games.

There's a Children's Hospital near Fresno. A friend's wife is a nurse there. There are also the Ronald McDonald houses...they always need stuff for sick kids...

I have a slimline, a wireless Pelican controller, FFX-2, FF12, FF9, Grandia 3 and Dragon Warrior 8. Also have the component cable and a 64meg card.
I suspect on Ebay if I sell all of them together I might get a hundred bucks.
If I sell everything seperately I might get 120, but no one would buy the console.
Years later I'm sorry I got it. Only played FFX-2 a little bit, got boring and irritating to play. FF12 was not impressive at all. Beat Grandia 3 but didnt love it as much as number 2. Dragon Warrior or Dragon Quest or whatever is fun, but I dont see myself finishing it.

Kinda sad. I played the hell out of my NES. Actually burned the thing up and had to buy a new one.

Anyway, I'll let you guys know what happens with the ebay.
