Splinter Cell PS2 Vs XBOX graphics comparison......no contest

wow... i see no shadow....

Well I can't tell if you're post was trying to be sarcastic, but shadows and dynamic lighting is one of the things that made the graphics on Splinter Cell so breathtaking. But also notice that the difference isn't limited simply to shadows. On the top image look at the wooden planks in the window. The Xbox version has the complete image with the wood detail being pretty high - you can see the "splintering" 😛 of the wood and the grain detail, while the PS2 image is washed out. Same goes for the second image. The sliding class door is "foggy" in the PS2 while on the XBOX version you can see through to the detailed curtains into the background.

Also, one more question about MSG2 Substance - I thought that this version was just the XBox counterpart to MGS2: Sons of Liberty. I played the PS2 version, so I decided not to pick up the XBox version because I thought they were the same exact games, just altered slightly for the 2 platforms. Are they completely 2 different games?

I say that two of the best you can get are Metal Gear Solid 2: Son's of Liberty/Substance

and Devil May Cry 1 & 2

.
Both exelent games!

Anyway, you must remember, its not what the game looks like, its the gameplay that is important! 🙂

Graphics does NOT make a game it's just eye candy for 5 minutes till the crap shows through.

This is SOOOOOOOO true. You can tell good games cause they tend to keep my attention for longer than 15 mins-

Most of the time the best games don't even look all that great, it is the gameplay that makes the game.
