Ps2 games with decent graphics

Hi all,

I just picked up a ps2, I am a gamecube and dreamcast owner, and have played xbox qhite a bit at my partners place.

I have played gta vice city, freakin disgusting, and dynasty warrior 3,cool game,so so graphics.

What are some decent games with the best graphics that sony has to offer?
 
If you're into graphics, why not just wack off to screenshots of upcoming games? 😛

Gameplay is what matters, and is why I've still got and play my Dreamcast.

Why knock the DC graphics? They're pretty damn good.
 
I have MGS2 and Final Fantasy X. The cut scenes in FFX are nice, and the graphics are pretty good, but it can't really hold a candle to my computer.

I'd rather have a huge 3.5GB game that I could play for 9000 hours with Final Fantasy 6 graphics, than a huge 3.5GB tech demo that took 10 hours to beat.

That's just me though.

im guessing your talkin aboytr beatin MGS2 in 10 hours. it only took me 13 in Hard. was a bit short. did look good tho

and i woudl love a 3.5GB game for teh comp FF style that took forever to beat

Wasn't aiming to knock the DC graphics at all - in fact, far from it. DC has an edge over PS2 in a couple games, in fact. 😛 I'm just saying that the "inferior" graphics of the Dreamcast aren't enough to make me sell it and choose a "next-gen" system like Cube/PS2. Gameplay >> graphics, but if they're both present it's an added benefit. 😀

That seems like a good start.

I didn't buy the ps2 for the graphics, it was just a good deal, and there are alot of games.

I agree about the DC graphics, pretty decent, esp since I bought mine for 25 bucks, and most of the games can be had for 10 bucks or less, I bought it mainly for my son, he loves the sonic games. Sonic adventure 1 and 2, great graphics, and cool tunes too.

I am interested in trying Gran Tourismo 3, supposedly the best console racing game with force feedback.

I heard silent hill 2 is supposed to be good as well.

My favorite console games are cooperative ones, Halo and NHL 2k3 for the xbox rule.

Yeah but it will be very washed down compared to the Xbox version...if you're gonna get Splinter Cell and you don't have an Xbox...just get the PC version. Then again I can't imagine controlling splinter cell with a mouse/keyboard. Analog stick is crucial for movement in that game.

actually teh keyboard mouse combo isnt that bad.

and they are saying that the PS2 version of SC is gonna be graphically equal to teh Xbox one and its gonna have some new levels and such
