If you wanted to view content that was region restricted, how would you go about it? Following a link that was posted here, I got sidetracked on squirrels, and wanted to watch something on grey squirrels in the UK, but I'm getting a "Not available in your area" message. Using a couple proxy sites provided by Google, gave extremely slow performance, and the video player didn't show at all; just a static picture. Do any of you use some kind of proxy for this purpose? If so, what?

The only way youre going to get decent video streaming performance is to use a local proxy. That involved installing and configuring. Web proxies will always be slow :(

That's what I was thinking. I don't think a local proxy would work for this situation. It would still show up as a verboten ip, no?
