so what you are saying is I need to squat???

but I heard they are bad for your knees

Squatting is completely safe if you watch your form (or have someone else watch it) and you don't attempt to push too much weight. It's the single best exercise for your body without question.

There is a chance or injury with any excercise if it's not performed properly. He gets the jist right in this video even if he says a few things that are inaccurate. I feel a lot more productive and less bored in the gym now that I am only doing 6 total excercises 3 on alternating days.

Squats
Deadlifts
Press

Squats
Bench press
Rows

He's right about squats being hard. If you aren't completely gassed after doing squats you're doing something wrong.

His vertical is INSANE. I counted 26 risers underneath the step platform at the end.

I scanned the video without sound - he's got pretty fantastic form, I'm impressed. And his vertical is ridiculous.

Not by the way it's tested in sports organizations like the NBA and NFL :p Those organizations use the Vertec, which measures how far you can jump and reach from a static position. No running allowed. And let me show you a vertical.

He's 5'11" and those hurdles are taller than him. 66" is only 5'6". This man's bounding over 6' hurdles :)

This tiny man actually won the high jump in the 2004 Olympics. His competition tended to be 6'6"-6'10". His PR was 2.37m (i.e. a little over 7'9").
