Oh for fuck's sake not the BabylonBee. I see enough of that shit on r/conservative standing in for actual content.

Obama tried to open up to Cuba a bit, Trump walked them back a bit. Not that I'm expecting much of Biden, but getting back to actual engagement with... What the hell is Cuba to the US, cause geopolitical rival sounds a bit to grandiose for the destitute little island nation, whatever, but it would be a good thing.

This cold war unicorn farts and giggles cold war era foreign policy of cramming our banana republic down everyone's throat foreign policy has to stop. At the end of the day, the rich pricks will get their caviar, but embargos and sanctions ensure that the little guy doesn't even get bread.

This sucks. I flip by Fox and they saying Biden Admin is silent on this. What this? When? I flip over the CNN, MSNBC and they are talking about this. I watch the frigging news every frigging day, was everyone asleep at the wheel? Just more political BS to stir the pot about.

If you meant CNN doing an in person face to face live coverage, then that might not be possible, probably for any American media outlet. The only place were American media outlets can interview someone at Cuba, is only the people who work at Guantanamo Bay. Castros fear American reporters saying the word Democracy to the Cuban people.

They're lined up for food. Thats a GOOD thing!

It's been studied that many people mistakenly believe satirical news websites for real news.

Republicans have now boxed themselves into a corner. Absent their "build the wall" rhetoric they would be inviting Cubans into the US. Remember back in the 90s, righties were all on board with an open door for Cubans while slamming it shut on Haitians.

Let see their next move

Republicans only complaint here is that the poverty and misery inflicted on the Cuban people is at the hands of its corrupt communist government instead of a properly corrupt capitalist government. They don't remotely give a shit about the results, just the ethos of the people in charge.

All you Trumptards kept silent when he slapped sanctions back on the country. Now they are using the US as an excuse for their financial plight.

It's good that Desantis just signed these into law -

  • make it a third-degree felony when seven or more people are in "an assembly and cause damage to property or injury"
  • make it a third-degree felony to obstruct traffic during an unpermitted protest and remove criminal liability for drivers who injure or kill someone "if fleeing to safety from a mob"
  • make it a second-degree felony to destroy property during an unlawful assembly
  • attach RICO liability to "anyone who organizes or funds a violent or disorderly assembly"
  • create a new mandatory minimum six-month sentence for striking a law enforcement officer during a "violent assembly"
  • prohibit state grants or aid "to any local government that slashes the budget for law enforcement services"
  • and hold defendants charged with a crime related to an unlawful assembly without bail until their first court appearance.

Funny how we are getting all these laws preventing protests, yet oddly enough , these same people are mad at protests being suppressed elsewhere.

Those damn white supremacists.. .standing up for... brown people.....

Anyhow, my answer is all the same as when BLM did this and blocked freeways, they should all become speed-bumps. Hindering other humans from going to work, getting to the hospital to save their lives, etc... is grounds for immediate termination.

Cuba has a great independent biotech industry as announced by the snakes at the WaPo: March 29th
https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2021/03/29/cuba-coronavirus-vaccine-iran-venezuela/

State Department pushing its weight around in Latin America against Russian vaccines and Cuban doctors: May 31st
https://www.ru-pac.org/post/vaccine-diplomacy-and-the-pitfalls-of-american-foreign-policy

Cuba exports its own Vaccine to Venezuela June 25th:
https://brazilian.report/liveblog/2021/06/30/venezuela-abdala-vaccine-cuba/

Cuba announces its Vaccine is 93% effective on July 1st

Strange coincidence?

-They all just blindly copied and pasted the Associated Press' pic. But to anyone who knows about Cuba, the massive red and black flags saying "26 Julio" (Fidel Castro's political party) should have been a dead give away

lol

I knew you were stupid - but I didn't know stupidity could be measured at this exponential level of stupidity.

BREAKING NEWS: North Korea states it has ZERO cases of Coronavirus! WOW, what a successful country!

When literally the only media source available is a Cuban government media source, you sincerely have to be fucking dumb to believe a single word of propaganda.

I feel safe predicting now DeSantis will fail to crack down on protestors because they are not those evil BLM types
DAMN that was easy
During the protests, there weren't any arrests made and the Miami-Dade Police Department redirected traffic for the protestors. This set off a firestorm on Twitter in relation to the treatment of Black Lives Matter protestors. Miami-Dade Police Department also issued a statement via Twitter regarding the protests.
Ron DeSantis' Anti-BLM Protests Law Backfires With Cuban American Protests (msn.com)

Told you. Republicans only want to crack down on black people and supporters of BLM using the force of law.

Cuba was into monoclonal antibodies before it was cool. PBS just showed an excellent NOVA about it. Showed the world how to crank out interferon, and actually have an anti cancer vaccine that extends life.

We do not need to send troops into Cuba or Haiti.

Although I think the embargo needs to be removed and should have been removed decades ago.

It was. Obama did it then what’s his name slapped it back on

What is happening in South Africa is also quite interesting. Seems like something that could happen in the US.
