Protein shakes

I've seen shakes where you get 43g or protien and some where you get 24g of protein. Is there a max amount of protein your body can handle in one shot? If not, I'd rather get the shake that gives you the most protien per shake possible. Unless the quality of th protein differs (if that makes sense).

thoughts?

if you only get 24g and want more, put 1 more scoop in.

my shake is 1 scoop that has 20g per serving, so i put 2 scoops in.

but i've seen ones that are like 45g per serving but a serving is 2 scoops.

Yep, what pur said. Anything that's over 20 some odd gm of protein per serving is normally 2 scoops.

I think they said most people can handle about 40-50gm of protein per serving before it goes to waste...but there's differing opinions and findings on that. I normally shoot for 30-40gm of protein with every meal.

Think about it from a caloric perspective. My protein is 24g of protein per serving, and 120 calories. Since protein is about 4 Cal/g, about 100 of the 120 calories are from protein - meaning, they really couldn't cram much more protein in there. In order to get a higher amount (such as 45), the serving itself has to be larger, because it's literally impossible to have that much protein in the smaller serving size, make sense?
