There was an article in the Metro today about how they are considering changing the tax cemetaries must pay for burials, which is $8 per body.
That tax lately has been amounting to $2.2 million per year, but the maintenance, graffiti removal, etc. on the cemetaries costs only $1.8 million per year.
Anyways, $2.2 million/year at $8 per body means 275,000 deaths/year, not including those cremated, or "disposed of" by other means, which is probably pretty substantial. Even if the 275,000/year was ALL the deaths in the city, with an estimated 8-9 million residents, that would mean the average lifespan was only 30 years. Using a more normal lifespan estimate of 70 years would mean the actual # of people in NYC (or at least the # destined to be properly buried) is 19.25 million.
So the fact only 8-9 million are accounted for by censuses means that there are more than 10 million illegals in NYC.
