There isn't much fun to being a mod. Not unless they can still edit people's posts by adding funny comments from their alter ego characters.

I think the best mods (and leaders, in general) are the ones who don't necessarily want the job, but see that there is a need for fair and responsible moderating and are willing to sacrifice time and effort for that thankless job.

I wasn't really looking to do it for fun, I was just looking to help out. But, I don't think it's going to happen so it's no big deal.

Maybe you'll be on the waiting list, in case any other mod steps down or if the forums grow more and more mods are needed. In any case, I doubt they need anyone for the moderation team at the moment. Hopefully they'll let you know in the future if they could use your service 🙂

Although if I ever win a sweepstakes/inherit a fortune/earn and save up enough money, I would love to open up a computer hardware store in NYC.

Alas, it is just a pipe dream for now.
