Prom?

I'm a girl, and I really didn't have that great of a time at prom. On the other hand, when people tell me they didn't go to their's I think its kind of strange. There are some things in life you do, for no real good reason, but just to say you did it. If your friends are going, what are you gonna do chillin at home?

also, can't you invite someone outside of your school? Everyone at my school though I was a big dork, so I had to venture out

Unless you're a trendy gottahavethepics guy, then no, its not worth it. my junior year i went to the senior prom with someone whom i found out months later liked me, but when the girl i wanted to go to my senior prom with couldnt go (i didnt even ask), i just didnt go. pocketed the 100+ bucks and went out with friends of like mind that night.

hey the funny thing is, same scenario for me junior and senior year of high school. except instead of pocketing the money, i went out and bought an electric guitar. totally worth it.

I went to prom with a friend and it was the best time ever! Plus, if you don't go with someone you really like, and just go with a friend, you dont have to feel 'tied down' to her the whole night! you both can dance with whoever you want!

just go... i went with a girl that i was just friends with.... next thing i know, we were together for 2 years... prob'ly the best girl i've ever met so far in my life tho... too bad we're not together anymore... oh wellz... lotsa girls at ucla, just gotta find more fish

what made my senior ball SO great was that all my friends and myself went as a HUGE group. we all had dates of course (a group of my female friends paired off with a group of our male friends, and their other friends also came)

we went to dinner at this chinese restaurant that someone's friend owned, so we had this private room for the 20 of us. yes 20.

then we went to the dance, took some huge groupie pics (we had to argue with the photographer, he was like "you won't get any of the background if 30 of you are in there! (we had picked up more friends along the way) and we didn't care... just wanted us all in one pic) and started having our party time.

afterwards maybe 16 of us hit up denny's for some after senior ball food. some people went up to the beach (the couples) but us friends wound up at dennys. it was awesome... then we all split up and went home.

one of the best nights of my life. whee! hehe.

I'm going with a friend of mine, its no big deal, we go to clubs and stuff, so I know I will have fun, just no sex after prom

The prom is what you make it. I went with a girl i was in love with, and it was a very meaningful night for us. If you want something like that, don't go with a friend. If you just wanna go to the expensive dance just to not miss the experience, and maybe get some action, then go for it.
