I don't really like any girls at my school rite now, so is it ok to just go to prom with someone you dont like in that way, i mean like just as friends? Is that worth the money??

Ask that one hot teacher that everyone wishes they had the balls to ask.

And make sure to pay homage to konichiwa by asking in the classic form of:
"Sup bitch? Prom?" :D

I'm the same way, no one I'm really interested in, and my girl friends all have dates...so...not going.

Unless you're a trendy gottahavethepics guy, then no, its not worth it. my junior year i went to the senior prom with someone whom i found out months later liked me, but when the girl i wanted to go to my senior prom with couldnt go (i didnt even ask), i just didnt go. pocketed the 100+ bucks and went out with friends of like mind that night.

Just go, even if stag. Regretting an opportunity you missed is infinitely worse than going and having a less than gerat time You could leave early if it's super lame or something.

Yeah, that's probably what I'm doing for 'Senior Ball' this year. Last year I wasn't in town for prom so it wasn't even an issue. But yeah, I have no girlfriend and there are no girls at my school that I'm interested in. The one girl I might possibly be interested in has a boyfriend that goes to another school - I might actually ask her because she's actually a lot of fun to hang out with. He might not be so fond of this idea because I guess he asked a mutual friend if there was something going on between me and this girl that he should know about - apparently she talked about me a lot for awhile. But whatever, I wouldn't do anything with her unless it was terribly obvious she wanted to.

So yeah, long story short, just ask a friend.

Yea, so long as you hit it afterwards :p

The prom is what you make it. I went with a girl i was in love with, and it was a very meaningful night for us. If you want something like that, don't go with a friend. If you just wanna go to the expensive dance just to not miss the experience, and maybe get some action, then go for it.

I went to 3 proms. My senior year GF went to a different school, so we went to both proms. We broke up because we went to colleges in different places and freshman year I was dating a high school senior and we went to hers. If you've been to any high school dance, just imagine it in monkey suits and gowns and you've got the prom down pat. It's just a dance with a bunch of kids playing dress-up. The girls love it because they get to shop for the gown, shoes, get their hair done, etc etc etc, so the guys go along with it. If you don't have a special girl, just save the money, you're not missing anything other than sappy music, bad food and fruit punch. Make sure you hit the post prom parties though, those are fun.

Don't do it. Im somewhat in the same boat. Im a senior and my girlfriend is only a freshman. She doesn't want to go to Prom until her Junior year, I don't blame her. So Im thinking I just won't go because its a waste of money to go by yourself, and I don't want to go with anyone else. I like my g/f to much.
