I would... but the heat this summer would kill my system's stability... 100F room temperature. :(

paruhd0x, if you can keep your system down close to your room temp it would be stable.
One word: Fans
More bigger fans to keep lots of air moving around those hot little gizmos and you would be able to achieve true balance (at least with temperature).

This and many more system and performance tuning helps are cheerfully provided by the members of the
Distributed Computing Forum here at AnandTech! Stop by to find out more!

The problem is, I already have 3 80mm fans and a Fop-32 on my system and its still way over the room temperature... When it gets too hot, it becomes unstable.

Paruhd0x, on my most overclocked box I put a 120 mm fan on the side of the case.
I had to cut out a 4 1/2 inch square hole and mount the fan. It sucks cooler air into the case right over the cpu and AGP area. It really moves a lot of air compared to those 80's. I only turn it on when it gets warmer than 85 F in the room.
You are right in your concern, the distributed computing projects do heat up your cpu.
There are people who run AC right into their case, even some who duct it to their cpu.
I've found that just moving enough air over the cpu makes it workable.

what happened to project cow tipping?

/me wonders if this can get locked at the top like the voting thread because, afterall, anandtech IS losing. to gathering of tweakers. and ars technica.
