Are there any distributed computing projects that are actually interesting to participate in?

I left after all the shenanigans and group fighting?s etc... ;)

Anyway, I was still cracking till a few weeks ago. After the last format, I was too lazy to set it up.

Anyway, if you really want help, antagonize the DPC's (on OT) ;). Otherwise, it?s a big waste of time.

I dont get how helping save lives is a waste of time? if you do the United Devices - Intel cancer reseach distributed computing project you could be discovering the cure to an illness you may have in the future! so please don't say it is a waste of time because I whole heartedly feel that it is not. RC5-64 is worthless in all meaningful sense however it shows exactly the power of distributed computing. the other reason that the call went out for people to join RC5-64 is it just went through a major milestone for the project aswell it is where team anandtech is getting creamed so I figured pick a common groud somthing that people knew because of its length, by all means if you dont like RC5 there are other projects out there, let us know, all we want is more umph it doesn't matter where your umph goes as long as its going twards somthing :).
