in this space (each of whom I know personally) are Linus Torvolds,
Richard Stallman, Larry Wall, Bjorne Strustupp, and John Carmack. My
work is not well known outside of the hardware design community because
my software is used primarily by hardware developers. I've written two
successful compilers, lots of X server code, and I founded two software
companies (www.bitraker.com and www.simplescalar.com). The latter
company markets the most popular computer simulation and modeling
tool ever created. And, unlike most systems programmers, I'm also
an experienced computer architect and hardware designer. In the late
90's I was a computer architect at Intel where I helped design
the trace cache in the Pentium 4 processor. So I guess in a nutshell,
I'm the best in the world for what I can do, but there are very few
people that have my entire skill set...
BTW, I think very highly of Mark too ;-) He's a great brother and
a hell of a sysadmin.

this guy is an idiot
he maybe really good in what he does, hez a professor at UMICH which is great
but frankly calling himself the top 5 programmers in teh world is stupid
where i went to school at USC i took courses under some super profs
Adelman (the A in RSA), Numenn, he wrote Kerberos
not only did both of these guys design/come up with the idea, but they also coded it
Neither of them ever claim to be the top 5 programmers /developers in the world
not only is it ridiculous to make such a bold claim but its also hard to come up with such a ranking of any sort
I am not sure Stroustrupe or Carmack themselves claim to be among the top 5 programmers in the world
Adellman infact got the Turing award, the highest possible accomplishment in the field of Comp Sci
My brother designed the most sucessful Computer Simulation and Modeling tool in the world and you think he is an idiot? LMAO Dude Intel uses his software to design their cpu's....I think your the idiot. 😀

AS i said hez an idiot not for his technical skills but for claiming something he has no way to prove
