Apparently he forgot that in most Vampire mythos that the vampire must feed the human vampire blood AFTER the human has been drained to the brink of death in order for the human to rise as a vampire themselves.

The only major Vampire setting I'm aware of that doesn't require the human to drink vampire blood first is the Blade series. And even in the Blade series, if the vampire drains the human entirely, the human will die and not rise. Also, there is only a chance, albeit a good one, that the human will turn if the vampire leaves the human alive.

OP - Good find.

I agree that the "proof" is based off of only partial understanding of vampire lore. I don't happen to believe that there are in fact really Vampires, but if you are going to try to disprove anything, you should have more than a token understanding of the subject.

However to the OP, there are actually a lot of stories that support the idea of being bitten alone is enough to turn someone into a vampire. There are a lot as well, that require the Vampire to feed the human their own blood in order to turn them.

There is also plenty of lore to suggest that Vampires can feed off of any animal to survive, and not just humans. And by doing so they would not be turning the entire worlds population as quick as that math theory states.

That only adds to the problem though. Would vampirism be transmitted to the animal, resulting in entire populations of vampirific animals?

That's ridiculous. The person has to drink the vampire's blood to turn into a vampire. You can't turn into a vampire from being bitten by one. Worst proof EVER.

I always thought it was either partially by chance or sort of up to the vampire. For instance, IIRC, in the old Dracula movies, sometimes the vampire would bite some hot wommanz and she would die, then he would bite someone else the same way and poof, another vampire. Unless I'm missing something. Which is possible.

Depending on the mythos, Vampires cannot be afflicted with any human diseases, but they can become temporary careers for blood borne diseases.
