It's annoying cause there's a little icon in the system tray that won't go away. Every now and then a stupid baloon thing pops up and I'd have to close it.

The "Safely Remove Hardware" icon also shows up if you have a USB printer or when you insert a USB thumbdrive or any other USB device also.

If you really don't want it to ever show:

Right click an empty spot of the Taskbar and select Properties.

At the bottom of the dialog put a check in the box next to Hide Inactive Icons.

Also click the Customize button.

Select - Safely Remove Hardware - from the Current Items list and click the dropdown arrow and select - Always Hide. Click OK and OK again.

I hope this helps.

Hey! Thanks for posting =) Felt so lonely in here when no one posted =P. Anyway thanks! Although if there is a possibility to remove it from the system tray completely I'd like to know that too. At least this solution can keep it away from my mind (that is until I press the arrow thing =( ).

Meh. You confusednewbie. You registed on my date of birth (erm..not the year) and you're RUINING my name! Stop bumping and shaming my date of birth.
