Configuration: Dell Optiplex GX024 with P4-1.5GHz, NEC Multisync LCD 1810. I am using the d-sub connector. This NEC has a beautiful display but I have the following problems:
1. The video card in the Dell is ATI Rage 128 Pro Ultra GL AGP (16 MB) . No matter what resolution and color quality I choose, the letters of the screen is a bit frizzy. Same thing even when I down-configured it to 16-bit color.
2. Furthermore, I tried to adjust the monitor and although I can find the adjustment on horizontal size, I cannot find the adjustment on vertical size. I now have about 0.5 inch of blank on both top and bottom of the screen.
At first I thought the culprit was the sub-par video card (only 16 MB), then I connected a LG-915FT+ CRT to it and it worked fine.
