Problem with installing Windows on newly built PC

It starts up but takes a long while to detect the IDE devices and it takes awhile to boot from the cd into the Windows Setup. I'm installing Windows XP Home and when the setup starts I get this message
"Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer.

Make sure any hard disk drives are properly connected to your computer, and that any disk-related hardware configuration is correct. This may involve running a manufacturer's supplied diagnostic or setup program."

I have the hdd set as master on the primary ide channel.
 
The jumper needs to be set to cable select or remove it all together....

you've done that already though so I'll just say O'Doil rules
