I'd like to run an AIM-compatible chat client from a USB key (some stupid policies here at work prevent us from installing shareware, freeware or open source on our personal work stations). Does anyone know what might fit the bill?
Ideally, I'd like to run something that does not touch the disk often (perhaps once on load and once on shutdown). The size of the program isn't too big of an issue.
Note that I don't care about all the bells and whistles of most IM clients (sounds, etc). I just want a reliable chat client that works with AIM so I can skirt these software restrictions I'm facing.
Suggestions?
