Blackhawk2,

<i>ManSnake you wouldn't be hypocritical, you would be protecting the babies right to choose.

Freedom and democracy for all.</i>

This is where you fail to understand that a fetus is not a baby! A fetus is yet unborn, how can an unborn fetus have freedom and democracy? It is absurd to think that way!

Tell me this if you will, how do you grant freedom and democracy for a dead person?

veryape,

Your right cerebral hemisphere doesn't seem to be working correctly. On the other hand I am practically perfect in every way.

ManSnake search the subject and look for the picture posted by BenSkywalker, the one where the fetus grasps hold of the surgeons finger, then you will have your answer.

I will still never understand how people feel they have a right to choose murdering an unborn child. There is no right to choose to kill your 2 day old, or 13 year old child. There is no right to &quot;terminate&quot; your marriage partner because a divorce would cost too much. There is not and never has been a right to choose these things. Ever.

&quot;I am pro-choice... pro-choice to keep your clothes on, to put a condom on, to take a birth control pill daily, to purchase and use a diaphragm, to get NorPlant inserteed, to keep Depo-Provera shots up to date, or accept the direct results of your actions / inactions.&quot;

I'm right handed, therefore it would be my left cerebral hemisphere affecting my posts,if thats what your refering to.

VeryApe - we tell people what to do and not to do with &quot;their bodies&quot; all the time.

Drug laws.
LAws against assault
Drinking and driving laws.

The best way I can explain it, I see abortion much like drunk driving fatalities. One person has a good time, acts irresponsibly, and someone else dies for it.

of course your arguements are based on the premise that a fetus at any level of development is a full fledged human being. If that premise isn't accepted, your entire arguement does not work.

I'm with Isla- we should attack the root of the problem instead of merely trying to deal with the effects. Instead of eliminating unwanted fetuses, we should work to cut down on the unwanted pregnancies and deal with the issue before it gets to the abortion stage. Teach kids about birth control, condoms, safe sex, etc, and how to avoid pregnancies in the first place. I don't like abortion, but I tolerate it. Making it illegal would merely drive people to illegal abortions and leaving the country for abortions, and wouldn't help the problem much.

I'm pro-life in cases where young girls and women choose to have an abortion as a form of birth control.
I'm pro-choice in cases where there is a risk for both child or mother if the pregnancy is carried out, or if because of defects or other factors the quality of the child's life would be at stake.

Besides, there are many &quot;traditional&quot; ways of having an abortion. Certain herbs have been used for millenia to induce bleeding which will cause the mother to abort or miscarry.
If you make abortions illegal, people will just go somewhere where it is legal to get them, or have them done here illegally by unqualified persons, which not only kills the fetus, but also greatly endangers the mother.

LadyJessica: If you are going to make post's like that, please change your avatar. I would not want people mixing us up. 😛 Obviously you posted what you did looking for a fight. And your not getting one from me, so have a nice day, and Happy Holidays! 😀

Blackhawk2,

I am waiting for you to answer my question, how do you give a dead person his/her freedom and democracy?

A fetus is not a living human being, it is part of the woman who carries that fetus, therefore, it is that woman's choice to do whatever she wants to do, not yours nor our governments!!!

Personally, I wouldn't get an abortion (the more the marrier right?) but, according to the last time I checked, I only have one body and that means I can only control my body. It's the woman's body, it's the woman's decision. I'm surprised more people aren't arguing over whether or not it's right to circumsize a baby boy. I'd think it'd be up to the boy to have his you know what modified </me cringes>. Anywho... woman's body, woman's decision.

Edit: Personally I wouldn't get an abortion (especially cause I'm a guy, lol)...

Morally right or wrong, its still a womans decision to do what she wants.

What pisses me off, are the radical pro-lifers. When I was in college in Buffalo, an abortion MD was shot in his home while eating dinner with his family. Whats up with that bullsh!t. Oh, we want you to stop doing abortions, so we're gonna kill you. Yeah, thats the way. Whatever!

<<...It's the woman's body, it's the woman's decision...>>

The fetus has its own separate DNA. The fetus is not equal to the woman's body.

<<...When I was in college in Buffalo, an abortion MD was shot in his home while eating dinner with his family...>>

Yes I heard of the unfortunate incident. However fetus's don't recover to rejoin their families like said MD after they are aborted-> such a polite term for murder 🙁.

No, the fetus does not. But then again, the fetus is not wanted, thus the abortion. I'm sure that MDs wife and children Do wish he could rejoin them. That was a stupid thing to write by you!

sd, maybe I have the wrong one. There was a doctor that was shot by a sniper, but the sniper's aim was off and the MD eventually did recover. No need for the insults.

I would be pro-snowball fight but there's no snow in SD 🙂

I guess I'm gonna have to drive up to Mammoth before this thread dies out.
