8 consecutive pro bowl appearances. He pwns you all.

because the pro bowl is a joke.

sure, mcnabb has turned around the season but he is NOT having a pro bowl season.

and someone want to tell me how john ritchie (eagles fullback) didn't make it?
It's not a joke, it's a popularity contest. Plain and simple.

Will Shields, KC...9 consecutive pro bowl appearances.
Willie Roaf, KC...9 consecutive pro bowl apperances.
😀

Oh yeah..I just noticed JEREMY SHOCKEY is in the pro bowl ...wtf? Thats a joke. Boo Williams got snubbed on that one.

Beasley is a better FB than ritchie!!

im glad Beasley finally got voted in

Tony Parrish from the Niners should also be in at FS!!!!

McNabb should not be in there Hasselbeck has had a much better season stats wise

How the hell did a Detroit Lion make it in there???

is it like baseball where every team has to send a representative?
No, there is no limit to the number of people you can have from your team, nor must every team have a player (nobody from the Chargers made it for example).

Why is a blocking FB the only true FB? That only came up recently...back in the day, the fullback was much more involved in the running/passing game. Guys like Alstott and Anderson are old schoolers....and very effective. Have a decent blocker that can run/catch, and if you REALLY need a big blocker, bring in a blocking FB or a second TE.

i think you have that backwards back in the old day they were like Beasley
unless you meant old day is like 5 years ago??

Yay McNair, let's just hope his lacerated kidney heals soon.

Actually, it's McNair's backup (I forget his name) with the lacerated kidney. Not McNair. Sorry.

Anyway, good to see Portis made it. Quite a few of the selections are a flaming joke as they usually are though. I honestly don't even know why they have this thing. I don't know a single person who actually watches it. Go figure.

Maybe they figured out that they shouldn't measure fullbacks on yards and numbers, but blocking ability. Alstott never deserved to be a pro-bowler, but since he ran the ball alot, he got attention.

I agree with the Dat Nguyen statement. He should be in there over Urlacher or Brooking. I also thought from the Cowboys, Terrence Newman should have made it.

What he said. Richie Anderson isn't the typical fullback. IMHO, he should be running back over Hambrick, and Hambrick should be FB. Richie just doesn't have the size to be a good FB. His size and speed is RB all the way. He's also the leading receiver on the team, which backs up my statement of how crappy the Cowboys receiving core is from previous threads.

Newman is good but he's still green - he has yet to be really really tested. He's no Aneas Williams (I botched the first name) for sure

yea yea yea, I'd name the fallacy you're implying, but I see no point.

The pro bowl is chock full o`politics, always has been. Everyyear the same thing happens, and people act as if it's some new thing.
I figure thoes people havn't been watching football more than a year or two.

huh? fallacy?
