Pro Bowlers announced

I don't know anyone who actually watches this game.
Good recognition for some hard work for the players though.

WTF, only TWO Patriots???????? Talk about no respect....

I bet Brady will get in, cause we all know Steve McNair won't make it to the pro-bowl alive...

Troy Brown would have made it had he had not been injured.

trent green...nice
everyone laughed at my pick of him in my fantasy league.
mcnabb was my first overall pick, and granted hes been doing better as of late. at the beginning of the year (and now) im happy i have green.

nice. niners are TO, Peterson and Beasley.

Peterson and Beasley are prolly top 3 at their positions.

wtf .. duece made pro bowl .. booo.

Can you imagine having to defend a team with Holmes, Portis, and Lewis running at you? Meanwhile, you've got Harrison, Mason, and Ward to worry about down the field.

Ok, first let me start off by saying I'm a HUGE Dallas Cowboy fan.

Having said that - there is no way Larry Allen should be a Pro Bowl guard this year. Sure, he has rippe dit up in the past - but this year has been nothing but injuries and poor performance. I am a huge Larry fan but someone else should have got the nod.

Good to see my boy Roy Williams made it at Free safety!!

Also, someone tell me how in the hell Warren Sapp made the squad. He has been nothing but an overrated letdown this year ...

because the pro bowl is a joke.

sure, mcnabb has turned around the season but he is NOT having a pro bowl season.

and someone want to tell me how john ritchie (eagles fullback) didn't make it?

I agree 100%. Honestly, if you make it early on in your career a few times - you're a lock for the rest of your career. This sucks - there are obviously guys deserving who have been left out due to politics.

Ruben Brown, BUF
8 consecutive pro bowl appearances. He pwns you all.

It's not a joke, it's a popularity contest. Plain and simple.

I actually don't mind those as much as Rodney Harrison getting snubbed. Everyone though he had lost a step and he's having a career year.

popularity contests = jokes by themselves

popularity contest = joke
yea yea yea, I'd name the fallacy you're implying, but I see no point.

The pro bowl is chock full o`politics, always has been. Everyyear the same thing happens, and people act as if it's some new thing.
I figure thoes people havn't been watching football more than a year or two.

Notes:

1.Wow, Ricky Williams and Ladanian Tomlinson missed out due to the awesome RBs in the AFC. But really how could you leave out Jamal, Holmes, or Portis?

2.McNabb? - Bulger and Brad Johnson had WAY better years than him, so has Hasselbeck. I guess they just assume McNabb has nobody to throw to and he has been winning a lot lately.

3.Sweet, 4 Vikings made it.

Dat Nguyen got screwed......he was one of the best defensive if not one of the best players the Cowboys have. Larry Allen had a decent year at best with his fvcked up leg. Darren Woodson played about as solid as Roy Williams. Bah.

Rodney is a killer over the middle and I still am mad the chargers let him go BUT he is seen as a dirty player. Always has been. Some player Feel he takes cheap shot (which He does or did anyway in san diego) The fact is rodney is a great HITTER not so mutch a great tackeler. He dfoesn't care if you do drop the ball he is going to try and punish you for THINKING about coming into his zone.

That is why he doesn't mnake it. Also when he did make the PB a few years back he was lighting people up. That didn't play well with some players as well.

Richie Anderson didn't make it how? I'm pretty sure he led all full backs in receiving by a decent amount.

Maybe they figured out that they shouldn't measure fullbacks on yards and numbers, but blocking ability. Alstott never deserved to be a pro-bowler, but since he ran the ball alot, he got attention.

I agree with the Dat Nguyen statement. He should be in there over Urlacher or Brooking. I also thought from the Cowboys, Terrence Newman should have made it.
