Prince can't sing.

Im not a fan of most of his music, but to say that prince isnt talented is just sad. He is one of the best, if not THE best on-stage performers ive ever seen. He has a stage presense that is unreal. Not only that, but the only guitarist ive ever seen better than prince was a guy who plays in a local rock band.

That said, I think its stupid for mainstream artists to perform in the superbowl. Its just a setup for failure. There are WAYY too many different generations of people watching, and even if you are amazing, you can only ever please about 25% of the people watching.

I agree, I never followed prince but he put on one helluva show. If anything it definitely beat the pre-game show, cirque de soleil definitely does not get me in the mood for football.

As my African American co-worker explained to me (without prompting, I might add): "And you see that scarf on his head? He knew what's up! He ain't getting no rain on his head!"

Apparently, African American hair is very brittle and highly susceptible to all types of damage when it gets wet. She explained this to me previously; and in a random Prince comment today verified his "blackness" via the headwrap.

He was okay. Shakey at first. Purple Rain was alright. I don't care for him. Girls go instant nympho like if they hear anything Prince.
His guitar playing wasn't bad at all.
Someone commented on Stefani and Sting being the last decent DB HT show. Probably right. Paul McCartney wasn't bad, but too conservative on the show part. The weird part was, that his 'Live and Let Die' sounded more like GNR than, ummmm....Paul himself.
Timerblake annoyed me even before the 'wardrobe malfunction'.
