There were 2 things about this race I noticed in my home:
1) The machines I thought were relatively quiet are NOT since I fixed my ears.
2) The heat produced kept my furnace from running. Though gas is very cheap compared to the electricity I was using. I received my "efficiency report" from the power company.............I used 68% more electricity than comparable households............

I do not expect the next PG challenge to be much different, GFN21's- but the house will be warm for 10 days.

I have 12 currently running, all with 20 or more threads each. 32 threads more coming next week, and 2 turned off. My heat has not turned on in years. I have 4 windows open, and it gets below freezing outside at night, but its still over 70f in the house. And I have 2 1070TI's, 2 1080's, and 2 1080TI's not even running at the moment. If I can find enough outlets to turn them on, its going to be a BIG F@H month for me. I should be at 17-18 million PPD if I have enough outlets. (that won't blow the circuit breakers)

'My account' says I have 41 messages.

I thought someone was desperately trying to contact me for the last few years or something, but they were just automated messages telling me THIS:

Wow, that was a productive challenge for just 3 GPUs that started a day late.

Why did they move up to AP27 if we still have so many 20's and 21's and 22's to be found?

I cannot imagine how many Stefan and [H]atp1916 found with the amount they ran!!!

I have my notifications set for AP 24 or higher.

 Still running AP27 for clean up and not wanting my GPUs idle for the LHC FB sprint- My machines finally found a AP24!!!

My last pending AP27 task was validated during the last few days.

completed tasks: 2709
AP20: 329 ( = 12 %, 264 found and 65 double-checked)
AP21: 83 ( = 3 %, 68 found and 15 double-checked)
AP22: 17 ( = 0.6 %, 12 found and 5 double-checked)
AP23: 4 ( = 0.15 %, 3 found and 1 double-checked)

My machines finally found a AP24!!!
Wow, congrats. Extrapolating from my own results which show one AP four times as likely to occur as the next one, I was --> . <-- this close to an AP24 myself. :-/

I have to check but I believe the AP24 was found AFTER the challenge ended, but it is still the largest AP that my machines have found.
Apparently I found a AP24 and a AP25 during the challenge. :grinning:

I'll try and remember this accomplishment when I'm paying my power bill.:pensive:

I feel the pain, I really don't even want to look at it. OTOH, my gas bill will be minimal!!!

Upcoming challenge:
Has anyone ran the CPU side of GFN21s? I am not going to myself since they are running WCG. Just curious if it was worth running CPU compared to GPU.

My pair of Tahiti 280X's are taking the scenic route, 18 hours, and the Hawaii (aka 290) is looking to be 22 hours.
That's fast! My 1060 is taking over 20 hours. It's my Xeon E5 that's doing 14. :) It might be a little faster with HT, I'm not sure.

2070 is showing around 8 hrs, although temps are ~61*C (Holding steady) and the GPU has clocked down to 2040. 1060 and 1070 are stuck on Folding....keep those damn Mods at bay!!!:p

What is the power draw of the 2070? Is it running at or above the official 175 W specification?

One thing for sure, these Genfer21 tasks bog the system down. I have no cpu tasks running on the 12/24 Xeon and just surfing around the net lags bad. I can usually stream some TV with Enigma, MW and other projects.

Well, I don't think we're going to win this one. ;) AMD cards do well on this, too, so that probably explains the team in front of us.

Jumping in on this challenge after a long hiatus. We put our house up on the market about six months ago and my PC has been in storage. About 7 weeks ago we found a house we liked but it needed some work and we were unable to move in right away.
Anyway, we are getting everything back to normal now and I'm glad to help the TeAm after being sidelined for several months.
I know my contribution is small but I'm glad to be back and contributing to a greater cause.:)
