OK, 16 cores added - may finish some 16 -20 Wus ...
Better than nothing ...

jaedaliu maybe?Who is this and why is he not listed anymore?
I thought you were juggling.Oh, my, I'm in last place! (I have several WUs near completion but not completed or being juggled.)
I turned off hyperthreading part way through the race. They turn around twice as fast.
No. (normally, unless one task uses all of your ram and there is lots of writing to disk)Would changing my i5s to run as a single processor at this point rather than 4 processors help push one of two of my in process WUs through? Meaning, would it process one WU 4 times faster?
Certainly not that much. A Core 2 Quad can get a small boost (10-15%) on one or two WUs, at the expense of doing any work on any others, by not running all four cores at once. That's from RAM bandwidth. If there's any effect at all on modern i5s, it's smaller than that.Maybe a stupid question as I quite honestly haven't been keeping up with technology... jaedaliu maybe?
And that's why I juggled. 3 WUs left here.I submiitted my last batch of work a few hours ago, and the next batch, even with HT turned off, is going to take more than the ~30 hrs we have left.
Point taken. 😉 I'll try next time. But I'm not always around to do it, unfortunately. The good news is it looks like I might get 2 more in. I have 1 WU scheduled to finish 10-15 mins before the deadline, and 1 WU scheduled to finish a little over 15 mins after. Hoping I might be able to squeeze that second one in with a little luck. Thanks for the stats. And that's why I juggled. 3 WUs left here.
