Looks like Kimmyl managed to pass RobertE. Practically everything else is the same - including SlangNRox who still hasn't moved! 🙁

Edit: Welcome to our 13th race participant, chronodekar! 🙂 I finally got you in a race, at least a little.

It looks like we're firmly in 17th place as a TeAm - unless SlangNRox is saving up a megaflush or something. Still, I believe 17th is our best rank ever! 🙂

I should add that now would be the time to start shrinking your queues. However, when your queue is shrinking, it doesn't get flushed automatically. So either manually flush, often, or you can try the at commands in the strategy thread.

After the race, PrimeGrid is doing a "St. Patrick's Day Parade", running their new Riesel sieve for a day in order to get ready for LLR testing. You're all welcome to join, but be aware that there are no stats beyond normal BOINC stats, and WUs each take 10 times as long as with this project.

So my internet was down from around 6pm yesterday until 30 minutes ago. I didn't have nearly enough in my queue to last until then, but everything is fixed and I"m in it for the last hr of the race. ATT Uverse came really quickly to fix teh repair and after checking everything it ended up being the phone jack that my dsl connect to that was bad.

That was a pain. I was so lost over the past 14 hrs. I didn't even have the phone number to call AT&T. I had to dig up this book full of phone numbers and look through it until I found AT&T under the cable section. 5 minutes of my time that would've taken 2 seconds using google.

Well, the race is over, and I feel confident in reporting that we've finished 17th, our best finish ever! No, we didn't catch the Czechs, but I don't think SlangNRox could have done it even with full internet access. The only way we could have done better, I think, is if Peter had installed Wubi on some machines... But no need to worry about that for now; 64-bit OSes won't be an issue for PrimeGrid races again until June.

I'd post stats, but a few WUs still have to trickle through the validator. I'll have final stats when they're done.

Move over to 64-bit OS for 24 computers? 😱
Sure, I'll do it. One at a time. Now and then. 🙂

I am also too lazy - and why fix something that works so well ... ()🙂

OK, here are the final stats:

17th place gets us 86 team challenge points, for a total of 142.25 challenge points so far this year. 🙂 We also had three participants finish in the top 100, which gives them individual challenge points!

I believe this is the first time anyone on our TeAm has received individual challenge points!

93rd place gives biodoc 8 points. 🙂
83rd place gives filibusterman 18 points. 😀
And 37th place gives petrusbroder a whopping 139 points! 😱

But let's see how we did compared to the last race. The three teams that were in front of us then finished today as:

24____64817_____Special: Off-Topic
25____56039_____BOINC@Heidelberg
29____41408_____Nemesis Germany

And Nemesis Germany was beaten by an even older adversary:
28____44660_____Gentoo Linux Users Everywhere

TAS, and Peter in particular, have definitely put us in a new class of teams! 🙂

P.S. Rudy, that's a bronze medal. Wear it proudly! 😉

i laughed out loud for realz at the pic!!

Good job everyone this was short and sweet.

Thanks for the stats, Ken_g6! 🙂 Very impressive summary.

I will probabaly take part in the other challenges - this is fun. I may even put a few cores on this project permanently - I really want to get to 1 M credits sooner or later ... 😉

Congrats on the badge, Rudy Toody. I never realised that there were any badges until I checked the account ...

So: R & R until the next race ...

I'm home from work today. I've just had a chance to read this thread and the one from Amoroque's sister. --> --> What a cool team!!

Today was my 3rd of 20 days on the assessment. I have no recent work history. The assessment is being used to evaluate me as a potential worker. If I do well, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation will be able to help me get a steady job. Everything is going good so far.

Because my first priority is finding employment, I was unable to use 64 bit OS's for the race. I had fun anyway, and I hope to be ready by June.

Thank you Ken_g6 for the stats!!

Congratulations to everyone for doing so well!!!
