OK, ken, don't get mad... Since its one more day, I will put a dual 7601 EPYC system on it, just for the day,

I stopped it... Even with only 64 tasks running it was going to take 24 hours per task !!! EPYC 7001 series SUCKS at primegrid.....

You could try setting up your Primegrid preferences to run one task with 64 threads. Though a balance is probably better.

Edit: But no pressure. I'm still amazed you joined at all! :)

Oh, I arrived at rank 10 now… But I guess 11th is where I'll end up, since user Venec of CNT should unload more bunkers over the day.

It must be EXTREMELY "cloudy" in Antarctica, GELLY has more points than 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th combined. :D Did JPFranklin change his name and team? ;)

I have often wondered if there are any open positions for 'fat, old, half-crippled, balding dudes, with little to no skills, in the US's Antarctic base....Maybe just a 3 to 6 month tenure.... I find the place fascinating!

Well, I made it up to the top 100 in this competition. Pretty good for just 3 3900x's and not all the time with all of them. And 10th in the team ! Will be going back to medical after this.

Just saw a post at PrimeGrid that work units with 512k FFT size have started to appear.
Ultimate Chaos' PPD went down by 3 % on day 4, and by 20 % on day 5. The latter is mainly because their 2 smaller producers stopped half a day early, but their dominant producer's output was gradually going down all the time. He ran single-threaded tasks on 3-threaded VMs on Xeon Gold hardware. It is likely that he wasted much of the processor capability this way, and some of the processor efficincy too. (Depends on how many more VMs with the same workload happened to run on the same physical servers.)

Yay, does this mean that I can turn off PrimeGrid for the time being? We got Fifth? Pretty decent showing, I think.

Huh, so I always thought the Tour de Primes was an individual event, not a team one...

Yeah, I made the Loser List smiley.gif

Can't help but wonder if that 3090 is running 2 tasks at a time.
Or perhaps the CPU is too overloaded to feed it properly.
Because that's some pretty poor performance coming from a 3090 (But apparently good enough to beat me ;))

I saw one of ]KidDoesCrunch from Seti Germany's RTX2080
with faster times then a 3090 on a GFN16.
