EDIT Ummm, both are class 1 and one of them says "Dongle" and the other says "Device"

Looks like a good deal but I have several friends who have never gotten their rebates from Zonet.... So i guess buyer beware?

Anyone have zonet rebate experience?

I just purchased one of these a few days ago from newegg. Works pretty good, no complaints yet, im using it to transfer stuff to my cell phone.

Hope the rebates come in. If not im gonna be pretty pissed!

I was going to pick up one as well... but after checking out FW, it looks like Zonet has burned a number of ppl on past rebates.

One guy recommended the CNet CBD-101 which looks much nicer... but costs $26.99 w/ no rebates. :(

zonet was okay for me.. a while back, i got that zonet 2 port KVM switch amazon had on sale for like $1 AR... I got my rebate.. unfortunately i never use the darn thing because the output wires stick out from the left and right sides of the box, while the input comes in from the back.. so the wires are basically coming out of 3 sides of the box making it very bulky and troublesome as opposed to other KVM's where they all come out from the back of the box...

Anyone notice that even though u pay an extra $.50 for the Class 2 to Class 1 upgrade, you are also paying an additional $3 for shipping.. i wonder why newegg would do that, since the product/weight is all the same except one being class 1 and the other 2... guess that's how they make their money..

Picked up the class 1 adapter this morning for $11.49 shipped AR, thanks cparent. I plan to use it to connect my Motorola v710 to my Dell Inspiron 700m laptop to get dial up networking connected over bluetooth. Thanks again!

It doesn't. Bluetooth's bandwidth is FAR FAR FAR lower than USB2, and a little lower than USB1.1... not that you'll ever reach the theoretical max speeds anyway. I'd imagine there's some advantage to using USB1.1 though... probably power-wise.

Question: Is it Class 1 or Class 2 that's better? The Newegg specs on these seem to indicate that the Class 1 ZUB6101 is better, yet cheaper? I was under the assumption that Class 2 was 100m while class 1 is 10m. OP's linking does not help in this dept. either... :confused:

Class 2 uses less power but also has a smaller range. This smaller range can be both good and bad. Good for security, bad for convenience. You make the call. :)

edit err, I had that backwards. Class 1 is the shorter range, Class 2 is the longer range.

Got mine in yesterday. Works fine. It's a lot smaller than I thought it would be. So far so good, sending the rebate in today.
