This one does have the newer clip. Its supposed to fit SocketA also.

I thought the off center clip was the new design. I had an old center clip where both sides swiveled and that one did not put enough pressure on my tbird to work.

I just installed one of these on my Tbird 900MHz. I swear it was tuff, so the clip will hold very well to the cpu. It replaced a GlobalWin Fop32-1.

It runs a few degrees cooler, and only tops off 4 degrees higher under full load. Not bad for an &quot;older&quot; cooler. I guess the copper helps.

It does sound like a harrier - but not much louder then the 32-1.

I installed it like it asked, with the fan blowing up/away from the heatsink...not blowing down onto it like others. It seems to work great.

Using this heatsink on a 1.33 tbird axia @ 1.5 ghz\2.10 core voltage and artic silver no problems
