The point is that Trump supports white supremacy, which is by definition and necessity violent and antithetical to freedom (unless you're a white supremacist of course). I note that you couldn't denounce white supremacy in this thread either. "But antifa!" doesn't fly for me when white supremacist and Patriot Prayer member Jeremy Christian is doing life for mass murder. "But BLM!" doesn't work for me either when just a few weeks ago during their "Back the Blue" rally, some Proud Boys accosted an Asian-American friend of mine and told her to go back to her shithole country. And she was born here in America BTW. So take your apologist bullshit and fuck off.

I think Biden is pretty happy with this debate. His job was to dispel the mental decline nonsense, and Trump pretty much did it for him by providing a favorable comparison.
I think if Donnie let Joe speak for longer he might have had a gaffe or a senior moment, but it wasn't meant to be.

I agree. There is no way Trump will cancel any future debates. He cant resist any chance to spew his rhetoric over and over. I think cancelling future debates, in Trumps mind, would be an admission that he lost, which he will of course not do. Biden is in a bad spot also. No matter how unhinged Trump is, I think it would make Biden look weak if he refused any future debates. I think he could reasonably set certain conditions about stronger moderation and fact checking as pre-requisites for future debates and perhaps shift the ball back to Trump's court. At a minimum, he should insist on independent control of the microphones to prevent Trump simply going on a tirade while Biden has the floor.

I think Chris Wallace tried to be fair, but there simply were not ground rules in effect that prevented Trump from simply talking over Biden.

What's incredible about polls showing that Biden won is that he wasn't even all that great. A different dem would probably have done better. Biden had some good moments, and some not so good moments. He turns in a mediocre performance and wins by over 30 points in the polls.

Because Trump. Trump defeated himself. I know it inverts political wisdom of the past, but all Biden has to do is not be Trump.
