You bench and squat the same weight? But you dead twice your bodyweight? How'd that happen? Leg injuries or something? Dead numbers are great for your bw, bench and squat aren't terrible either.

Part of it is that I was drained from deadlifts, part of it is that I bike everywhere and was in a hurry (which kills the legs, don'cha know). Another part of it is that I used to care only about my upper body, since that's what was most important when I was wrestling. I'm tall, skinny, and long-legged, which hurts both bench and squat. Also, I refuse to squat less than ass to ground, because my glutes are more important to me than the numbers.

Sounds good to me. Also sounds like if you do choose to hit the weights hard you should be able to make some solid squat gains for awhile, and fast, which is always nice. 🙂

Yeah. Squats are the exercise to which I can add weight the fastest, most of the time. I'll get 185 next time for sure.

Definitely fell off the update wagon... Anyway, yesterday's:

1-14-2009
Squat: 135x5, 185x5, 225x5x2 (the last two were parallel, not full squats)
Jump squats: 115x6x2
Bench press: 135x5, 155x5, 175x5, 155x5
Power cleans: 67x5x1, 87x5x3 (I haven't done these in a looooong time, will go heavier next time. These do tend to make my left shoulder angry if I do them after bench press; I got dropped on it pretty hard wrestling a guy who was very angry with me and much better).
