If the president had balls, he'd say that partisian news casting in any form is not good for the country.

Instead, he chose to play the partisian card himself, ignoring "news" organizations like the Huff-Po, the New York Times, and CNN. There are more than enough news organizations that tilt either way.

this.

Uhh...the only person who has "completely lost it" is you. That's like blaming the entire Republican party when some nut job kills an abortion doctor.

Also, Foxs "News" doesn't even really consider themselves a news channel anymore, so I'm not sure what you're talking about there either.

Odd though that they still spin that little news logo on the screen 24/7 during their opinion shows.

Yeah they're not fooling anyone.

Screw FOX!

You right wing morons can complain all you want about NPR and PBS but they still get more news facts correct than all the rest put together.

Fox news is a fascist propaganda machine creating a nation of Brown Shirt marching morons. Write to the advertizers and tell them you're not buying their shit. Slime their products wherever you can.

Yeh, but they *represent themselves* as a news channel to the public.

Many of the most misinformed and distorted opinions in this country are the result of actually believing that Faux News really *is* News.

They're just another shameless propaganda organ of the Republican Party, or maybe the Republican Party is just a shill for Murdoch, the Koch Bros, The Mellon-Scaifes and the rest of the rich and radical rightwing donor club...

So basically, if you want to play this off as anything more than another attention-grab by a partisian hack that happens to be president, you're deluded.

Even when he says something that is true, he manages to stuff his foot in his mouth at the same time.

Can't wait for him to come out and support Pelosi's statements that we need to investigate who is funding opposition to the Mosque.

i agree. he may be right but the fact he is not saying all just ruins the message. it comes off as politics and not reality.

The thing is, you and some others just cannt deal with the idea that it's not a mirror of Fox on one side and equally flawed channels on the others, that Fox has no counterpart.

And so instead of recognizing Fox's flaws, all you can do every time it comes up is complain that the imaginary left counterparts aren't included.

There are shows who are targeted to liberals. There is no liberal counterpart to Fox with its flaws. As long as you can't get that, you will get it wrong.

If there were a counterpart, we'd be happy to acknowledge it.

While Fox has its market position bought by one of the world's biggest media moguls, you have Air America struggling on a shoestring and going out of business.

Of course, Fox viewers can explain that has nothing to do with the big bucks that formed a right-wing media industry, paying to keep Fox on the air during its early period of bad ratings (following the failure of the first version of Fox) as it was made the first cable channel ever to pay the cable companies to air it, instead of getting paid, since it otherwise would have been dropped.

Fox is its own issue. Other networks have some flaws, but they're not a counterpart.

😀😀😀😀😀

Lol. The hell you would. I love it when partisans try to act non-partisan.

As someone who reads liberal, conservative and international media sources, Fox seems to be getting facts right more often than not nowadays. Sure they may bias content, but every news organization in the world does that.

Case in point: BBC putting this story on the front of it's "US & Canada" page.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-11429231

Tell me why that was important enough to be front page news, placed in 3rd most prominence out of all stories coming out of the entire US and Canada. Important enough to upstage alleged war crimes, the elections, a University shooting, and Canada's legalization of prostitution. It wasn't, and no facts of significant note are actually made in the article. BBC just wanted to draw attention to our supposed American barbarism. Something you'd undoubtedly agree with.

Fox News is garbage, but it isn't really wise for Obama to say so. All it will do is support the portrayal of him that they've been pushing since before he was even elected, which is that Obama is going to steal your guns, take Rush Limbaugh and Fox News off the air (or force equal time), and recruit your children into a terrorist organization. Now Fox News can say "Look, we were right!" and their paranoid viewers will soak it up.

On the other hand, their viewers weren't going to vote for him (or probably any other Democrat) anyway, so no big loss.

So Obama can't comment on the wisdom of the Ground Zero Mosque but apparently CAN comment on the wisdom of Fox News. I guess we know who are the terrorists in his mind.

I've always suspected Obama was an idiot and got into Columbia (as a tranfser from Occidental College) and Harvard Law through affirmative Action. I bet he barely got 1100 on the old SAT and 150 on the LSAT.

Unacceptable. I may not be a fan of Fox but this is no way to talk about a news channel.

Saying a lie over and over and over again will not make it true.

The Fox organization is NOT I repeat NOT a news channel as defined by the United States Supreme Court.

They are an ENTERTAINMENT Organization spewing nothing but lies as allowed under Free Speech.

You are lying as well under free speech as well.

I as well as the Messiah will continue to point out your lies as long as you and FOX continue to lie.

Does not surprise me. He already has a General telling us to STFU about rights he was sworn to defend - As usual look up the chain for where shit originates there are no accidents. Obama simply does not support free speech.
